On Tuesday Rep. Reed DeMourdant, R-Eagle, introduced legislation that would help charter schools pay their interest from issuing bonds to pay for buildings, according to the Idaho Statesman.
Under the bill, charter schools would be able to participate in the same program as traditional schools. The representative estimates that if charter schools are included in the program, the added cost would be around $317,000. The program currently costs the state $17.4 million.
