Texting while driving was a hot-button issue not only during the 2012 legislative session, but in previous ones as well. The law finally made its way through the Legislature this past session and into law. The law takes begins July 1. The Idaho Statesman reminds that you will now be pulled over for it and fined.

The offense is a primary one, meaning that if texting while driving is observed, an officer may pull you over for it. The fine is $81.50
