Tea partiers plan to gather noon Monday in support of the House of Representative's decision to leave Boise without passing a gas tax increase. This is the first time since the April 15 tea party events that Idahoans will rally. In addition to showing support for the House's anti-tax position, the rally also serves to prove that Idahoans who are tired of being taxed to death are still a force in Idaho government -- the April 15 events were not a blip on the radar screen.
Keep in mind that Idahoans support good roads, but they also believe it's possible to have good roads without continuously increasing the tax burden.
The Monday rally happens in the park located southeast of the Statehouse.
