Bill Description: Senate Bill 1211 would make Ivermectin available without a prescription.
Rating: +1
Does it give government any new, additional, or expanded power to prohibit, restrict, or regulate activities in the free market? Conversely, does it eliminate or reduce government intervention in the market?
Senate Bill 1211 would create Section 37-135, Idaho Code, to allow "Ivermectin suitable for human use" to "be sold or purchased as an over-the-counter medication in this state without a prescription or consultation with a health care professional." This allowance would apply "notwithstanding any law to the contrary."
This law would prevent most government restrictions on access to a safe and beneficial medication that many people already use.
