The Idaho Senate approved a proposal to give Idahoans in the military a break on renewing their concealed weapons permits. All active duty military personnel from Idaho would be exempt from the $10 late fee for renewing a permit after a 90-day renewal permit.
“If you are late on that, you will not have to pay the $10 fine,” said Sen. John McGee, R-Caldwell. “This is not the proper public policy for the state of Idaho.” Concealed weapons permits in Idaho cost $20 and are good for five years. Renewing a permit costs $15.
