The Idaho Freedom Foundation signed on to a letter recently sent to President Donald Trump regarding his decision to review national monuments designated using the Antiquities Act.
We believe that with the federal ownership now constituting over 50 percent of land in the western US and over 60 percent in Idaho, it is no longer in the interests of Idahoans to have any president unilaterally restrict access and use to even more federal land in the West.
Local input is critical and this is what we are asking for from the new administration in Washington.
Here in Idaho, these concerns extend to the Crater of the Moon National Monument and Sage Grouse Management plans.
