House Bill 92

House Bill 92

by

February 13, 2017

Bill description: This bill reduces the licenses a winery must have when selling wine.

Rating: +1

Does it give government any new, additional, or expanded power to prohibit, restrict, or regulate activities in the free market? Conversely, does it eliminate or reduce government intervention in the market?

This bill will reduce the licensing required by wineries to sell alcohol. In 2010, the Legislature amended the regulations for wineries to include that they did not need a separate beer license to sell wine by the drink off premises in addition to the licenses they already have. This bill amends this recent change to further ensure that wineries do not need this additional beer license for selling off premises or at their original location. (+1)
