House Bill 450 — Unemployment insurance tax rates

by

January 24, 2022

Bill Description: House Bill 450 extends the 2021 base tax rate for unemployment insurance for another two years.

Rating: +1

Does it directly or indirectly create or increase any taxes, fees, or other assessments? Conversely, does it eliminate or reduce any taxes, fees, or other assessments?

House Bill 450 amends Section 72-1350, Idaho Code, to keep the unemployment insurance base tax rate for 2022 and 2023 the same as it was in 2021. This change is estimated to save Idaho businesses $64 million over the next two years.
