Gov. Butch Otter appointed a commission to look into the future of nuclear energy in Idaho, called the Leaders in Nuclear Energy Commission.
According to a story in the Twin Falls Times-News, the group met in Twin Falls on Friday discussing business and research options for the industry in the state as well concerns from the public about the health and safety of nuclear energy.
The final meeting of the commission will be in Moscow in November and public input to the commission will be accepted until Dec. 24.
