Citing its nonprofit status and its right to engage in lawful political activity (free speech), Education Voters of Idaho has told Ben Ysursa, Idaho secretary of state, that will not reveal its donor list as requested by Ysursa's office, according to an Associated Press story in the Idaho Statesman.

Ysursa said he would review the letter sent  by the group's attorney and expects to respond to it within the next several days.

The organization, Education Voters of Idaho, says it has federally granted nonprofit status and, therefore, is under no obligation to reveal its donors.
