Former Sen. John McGee, who represented Caldwell in the Idaho Legislature and was a high-ranking GOP Statehouse leader, will be released from the Ada County Jail Saturday, according to an Associated Press story in the Idaho Press-Tribune.
The former senator pleaded guilty in August to disturbing the peace in connection with the sexual harassment charge and was sentenced to jail. The Saturday release is for good behavior, according to the Ada County Sheriff's Office.
McGee had a series of run-ins with authorities, finally resulting in his resignation from the Senate and a jail sentence. Among his issues were a DUI conviction, theft of a vehicle and then a sexual harassment charge.
