Anyone going in for a sneak peak at the renovated state capitol shouldn't cross in State Street by the north entrance, according to a new sign posted near the capitol.
There are heightened safety concerns about crossing the narrow two-lane road in between Sixth and Eighth Street after State Rep. Darrell Bolz was hit by a car earlier this month. Bolz was scheduled to be at a Soil Conservation Commission meeting that day, but was unable to make it to the meeting held across the street from the capitol.
