Idaho lawmakers won’t finish up their work this week, according to Republican Senate Majority Leader Bart Davis of Idaho Falls. Davis told IdahoReporter.com he expects the legislative session to end sometime next week. Davis and other lawmakers had said last week that the session could wrap up by Friday, March 26. Each additional day of the legislative session costs the state about $35,000.
The Legislature still needs to finish approving the state budget. Lawmakers in charge of the state spending plan still have not set parts of the budget, including spending for the Department of Administration and a contingency plan if tax revenues continue coming in below projections.
