The Idaho Education Association, along with the Caldwell Education Association, say the Caldwell School District owes teachers an additional 10 days worth of pay. In a story in the Idaho Press-Tribune, the unions claim that teachers are being paid this year for 173 days, when they should be getting paid for 183 days.
During the 2010-11 school year, the district negotiated for the 173 days of pay. But, the unions claim that agreement was good for just one year and has expired.
Union reps say they will file a wage claim against the district if the additional 10 days of pay are not given.
