Judge rules former ITD director has right to due process before firing

Judge rules former ITD director has right to due process before firing

Former director of the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) Pam Lowe filed a lawsuit in 2009 claiming she was unjustly fired and claimed the reasons were for whisteblower and discrimination charges.

According to the Idaho Statesman, a judge has ruled that she was not properly given her due process. ITD has claimed that her employment was at will, and therefore her firing was just and she was given all the due process needed.

Lowe had also claimed that she was fired for refusing to back down from political pressure from the governor's office in concerning highway contracts with political donors.
