Bill Description: House Bill 738 transfers $3,430,000 from the State Department of Education to the Office of the State Board of Education for fiscal year 2025.
ANALYST NOTE: This legislation is a trailer appropriation following the passage of House Bill 634, which changes the state agency that has management authority of the Broadband Infrastructure Fund. For fiscal year 2025, this authority will be changed from the State Department of Education to the Office of the State Board of Education. The purpose of this move is to complete the transition of IT support from the Department of Education to the Board.
