The Heartland Institute has released a report explaining why Common Core is a bad choice for states' education.

There is no proven track record, yet states have rushed to sign on for the program. Why? Local freedom and choice will be taken away and privacy concerns are a must with the U.S. Department of Education regulations allowing the sharing of student information.
