According to the Idaho Statesman, tax revenue for fiscal year 2012 is looking good in Idaho. Estimates put Idaho nearly $33 million ahead of forecasts for the first eight months of the fiscal year. Gov. Butch Otter's administration isn't jumping for joy just yet, saying the number isn't as strong as it may appear.
Wayne Hammon, budget chief, said the number is probably closer to around $20 million because around $12 million of the $30 million will be returned to taxpayers in the form of tax refunds.
