It seems as though votes have been becoming tighter on key issues in the Senate lately, and Thursday was no different. According to the Spokesman-Review, with a vote of 19-14 the Senate passed a bill that would allocate the remaining GARVEE bonding capacity to deal with the increased needs of roads and bridges throughout the Gem State.
Sen. Steve Bair, R-Blackfoot, voted against the bill, saying that down the road the state won't be able to pay for road projects that remain a high priority, including bridges.
