Bill Description: Senate Bill 1387 is an enhancement of $486,400 and 0.00 new full-time positions for the Idaho State Historical Society for fiscal year 2027. This legislation appropriates a total of $11,212,500 and 61 full-time positions to the agency.

This legislation authorizes onetime spending for the Idaho State Historical Society of $486,400, adding additional expenditures after last year’s (FY26) onetime spending of $548,000. Onetime spending is often even more volatile than ongoing spending, which is to be expected due to the onetime expenses generally being utilized for projects or capital outlay. This also calls for special scrutiny and discernment.

These outlays consist of OITS hardware and the second and final year of onetime expenditures ($450,000 DF) related to state collections and archival moving costs.
