Rating: +1
NOTE: Senate Bill 1167 is related to Senate Bill 1065 (2025).
Does it create, expand, or enlarge any agency, board, program, function, or activity of government? Conversely, does it eliminate or curtail the size or scope of government?
Senate Bill 1167 would repeal Chapter 43, Title 22, Idaho Code. This chapter contains two sections of code dealing with weather modification districts.
No such districts operate today, but the "Oneida County weather modification district" operated as a taxing district and levied taxes on local property owners in the late 1970s.
Repealing this section of the state code eliminates the possibility that a new weather modification district could be created.
