Bill Description: Senate Bill 1046 would require instruction regarding fetal development in biology and sexual education classes in grades 5 through 12 for public schools.
Rating: +1
Analyst Note: Senate Bill 1046 was amended to remove the provision empowering the attorney general to bring a civil action against any public school that fails to comply with the requirements of this act. This amendment does not change the rating of the bill.
Does it promote the breakdown of the traditional family or the deconstruction of societal norms? Examples include promoting or incentivizing degeneracy, violating parental rights, and compromising the innocence of children. Conversely, does it protect or uphold the structure, tenets, and traditional values of Western society?
Senate Bill 1046 would require “instruction on human growth and development” in any fifth through twelfth grade classes that cover “human biology” or sexual education. This instruction must include ”a high-definition ultrasound video, at least three (3) minutes in duration, showing the development of the brain, heart, sex organs, and other vital organs in early fetal development” and ”a high-quality, computer-generated rendering or animation showing the process of fertilization and every stage of human development in side the uterus, noting significant markers in cell growth and organ development for every week of pregnancy until birth.”
Among the most harmful myths perpetuated by the radical left today is the notion that human life does not begin at conception. It is this misguided belief that justifies the destruction of over 1,000,000 innocent lives per year in the United States. Senate Bill 1046 reaffirms traditional Western values surrounding sexual ethics by dispelling this dangerous misconception and re-humanizing the science of fetal development.
