Bill Description: Senate Bill 1010 would declare that the World Health Organization has no jurisdiction in Idaho.
Rating: +2
Does it violate the spirit or the letter of either the U.S. Constitution or the Idaho Constitution? Examples include restrictions on speech, public assembly, the press, privacy, private property, or firearms. Conversely, does it restore or uphold the protections guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution or the Idaho Constitution?
Senate Bill 1010 would create Chapter 73, Title 39, Idaho Code, to declare that the World Health Organization (WHO) has no jurisdiction in Idaho.
It says the WHO "shall have no jurisdiction or control over the government of the state of Idaho or any agency, branch, department, or function organized under the government of the state of Idaho with respect to all matters related to, connected to, or associated with public health within the state of Idaho."
While a statute like this shouldn't be necessary, it is appropriate to clarify that the state of Idaho can and should exercise its sovereignty to protect the people from dictatorial organizations.

Does it violate the principles of federalism by increasing federal authority, yielding to federal blandishments, or incorporating changeable federal laws into Idaho statutes or rules? Examples include citing federal code without noting as it is written on a certain date, using state resources to enforce federal law, and refusing to support and uphold the tenth amendment. conversely, does it restore or uphold the principles of federalism?
Senate Bill 1010 further states that Idaho citizens "shall not be subject to the terms, conditions, rules, or regulations promulgated by the world health organization or arising from any agreement, directive, initiative, or program instituted by agreement between the federal government and the world health organization."
This language is important because global organizations like the WHO typically enforce their tyranny in coordination with national governments.
