SB 1227 would ensure that parents and guardians retain authority over their children and they are not forced into doing something that is against their or their child’s values or beliefs. By allowing an immunization exemption request to come on any form, not just those provided by a school or daycare, would prevent a school or daycare from requiring an invasive form or from creating a substantial burden in filling it out.
