Proposition 1 will be on the ballot this November here in Idaho. Though it is dubbed Idaho’s “Open Primary” initiative, the reality is Prop 1 will seek to implement a jungle primary system and Ranked Choice Voting, undermining the security our current primary system offers.

In this regular column, we will take a look at the facts surrounding Prop 1 and Ranked Choice Voting, what it has done to other states, and what it will do to Idaho.
