On Wednesday the Senate approved a $10 fee for conviction of a misdemeanor or felony that would go to the state's victim notification fund, according to the Spokesman-Review.
Sen. Denton Darrington, R-Declo, who sponsored the bill on the floor, said that if people have a problem with feeling fees are stacking up on them, the answer is quite simple, "There is a way not to pay it and all the others: Do not do the crime."
The bill now heads to the House.
