Laptops will be issued to school districts next year as part of the education reforms passed in 2011. In a story from the Idaho Statesman, the state Department of Education has chosen 32 school districts to receive laptops the first year.
The districts range in size from Culdesac and Kimberly, to Meridian and Boise.
There was originally a target date of May 25 for computer manufacturers to submit bids to the state for it to decide which device it was going to choose. The date has since been pushed back to June 11.
