Kootenai County commissioners have voted to suspend impact fees within its jurisdiction, according to a story in the Coeur d'Alene Press.
The issue of doing away with the fees has been under consideration for a number of months based on the difficulty of implementing the fees and that commissioners were hearing that having impact fees was slowing business and residential growth in the county.
The impact fees were instituted in 2011 with $400,000 collected to date.
