Idaho Freedom Foundation announced Tuesday the creation of ExchangeForm.com

Boise, ID— The Boise, Idaho-based Idaho Freedom Foundation announced Tuesday the creation of ExchangeForm.com. The website is a resource for employers to notify employees of the insurance exchange, without using the federal government’s “model” notice. Employers can generate a form to give to their employees and add certain free market language to the form as well. The exchanges are one of the fallouts of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

The generic federal notice includes information about the insurance “marketplace” and other general information about insurance through the exchange, but does not have information informing employees about the ramifications and consequences of Obamacare.

“The federal government is trying to have American businesses serve as shills for Obamacare by forcing them to notify employees about the existence of the insurance exchange and all of its entitlements,” explained Wayne Hoffman, president of the foundation. “The U.S. Department of Labor's model exchange notification form is nothing more than government-sanctioned propaganda. Our form turns the tables. It reminds business owners that they still have the right of free speech, and in employing that free speech, they should let their employees know the damage that Obamacare and the insurance exchange subsidies are doing to our country.”

ExchangeForm.com allows employers to add information about the detriment the exchange causes to the country, including that the federal government is currently trillions in debt, that personal health-care information will now be in the hands of regulators supposed to maintain its confidentiality (witness the IRS and NSA scandals to recognize that fallacy) and has a First Amendment element as well in which employers may add language to the form notifying employees that although the employer is required to provide the form, the employer reserves the right to disagree with the law.

Hoffman said his organization “has tried, with some success, to get states to resist Obamacare. Now it's up to the rest of us to join in the fight. Each business and each employee will have to decide whether to embrace to fight the president's nationalization of health care and the extraordinary wealth redistribution it envisions.”

The Idaho Freedom Foundation is 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, nonpartisan educational research organization that advocates for free-market solutions, private property rights, individual responsibility and transparent, limited government.
