Senate Bill 1317, essentially an authorization to use GARVEE funds as a match for bridge work, was killed in the House Transportation Committee Wednesday, according to the Spokesman Review. The legislation had passed the Senate.
The bill allows bridges to be added to the list of projects that the Idaho Transportation Department sees as needing work.
Rep. Frank Henderson, R-Post Falls, said he understands the need to fix bridges, but said, "I do understand all you want to do is add to the list, but frankly, we haven't completed the list."
