House Bill 718 — Denturity, renewal fee (-1)

House Bill 718 — Denturity, renewal fee (-1)

Bill Description: House Bill 718 would increase occupational licensing fee caps for denturists.

Rating: -1

Does it directly or indirectly create or increase any taxes, fees, or other assessments? Conversely, does it eliminate or reduce any taxes, fees, or other assessments?

House Bill 718 would amend Section 54-3312, Idaho Code, to increase three fee caps for denturists. The application fee cap would increase from $300 to $1,000 (+233%); the initial license fee cap would increase from $600 to $1,000 (+67%); and the biennial renewal fee cap would increase from $2,000 to $2,500 (+25%).

The independent Board of Denturitry claims these fee increases are necessary to avoid the board being abolished and regulatory control of denturists taken over by the Idaho State Board of Dentistry, as proposed in House Bill 495 (2026).
