Bill Description: House Bill 677 would criminalize constructing a permanent or temporary blind, pit, platform, or tree stand within 300 feet of a water trough or stock pond on public land in Idaho.

Rating: -1

Does it directly or indirectly create or increase penalties for victimless crimes or non-restorative penalties for non-violent crimes? Conversely, does it eliminate or decrease penalties for victimless crimes or non-restorative penalties for non-violent crimes?

House Bill 677 would amend Section 36-1101, Idaho Code, to criminalize constructing “a permanent or temporary blind, pit, platform, or tree stand within three hundred (300) feet of a water trough or stock pond on public land within the state of Idaho.”

Anyone who pleads guilty to, is convicted of, or is found guilty of violating this prohibition would face up to a $1,000 fine and six months of incarceration.
