Bill Description: House Bill 503 would move the Idaho Soil and Water Conservation Commission into the Idaho Department of Water Resources.

Rating: +1

Does it increase government spending (for objectionable purposes) or debt? Conversely, does it decrease government spending or debt?

House Bill 503 would amend Section 22-2718, Idaho Code, to move the Idaho Soil and Water Conservation Commission into the Idaho Department of Water Resources.

The bill’s fiscal note estimates that “combining the agencies will result in a savings of $107,000 in personnel costs” and that there could also be “other savings across operating and capital outlay budget categories.”
