On a 10-2 vote Friday, the task force appointed by Gov. Butch Otter to develop a recommendation for him on what the state should do about crafting a health care insurance exchange as a result of the U.S. Supreme Court approval of Obamacare says it favors a state-based exchange, according to an Associated Press story in the Idaho Statesman.
The governor is not bound to accept the committee's recommendation. But there is a Nov. 16 deadline for Idaho and other states to inform the federal government of their intent concerning an exchange.
