Lawerence Denney, R-Midvale, speaker of the Idaho House of representatives, made noise last week when he said he would remove a member of the redistricting committee because she had failed to do enough for the party. The attorney general's office said that even though Denney had appointed her, it was not within his right to remove her.
On Monday, the House speaker and the GOP state chairman decided it was time to get rid of two redistricting commissioners despite what the attorney general's office has said. Both commissioners have said they will not go without a fight.
