I know today is a difficult day for many of us. The very idea that the U.S. Supreme Court would say that the individual health insurance mandate is constitutional is stunning, to say the least.
I want you to know that we are not done fighting. In fact, we’re just getting warmed up. The health care system is broken. This law makes that system worse. We must now redouble our efforts to repeal this law in full. We plan to continue presenting free market solutions that help lower costs and improve health outcomes, and do it in a smart way that invigorates the economy and keeps the government out of our health care decisions.
What I need from you is this:
If you have stories of how you or your business will be impacted by the health care law, please email them to [email protected].
Second, we need everyone to join us for our annual banquet. We have rock star speakers, including Judge Andrew Napolitano, who has been on TV all day with his analysis of the court’s ruling. We’ll also have a silent and live auction. You can RSVP here.
So, mark your calendars now to join us at 7 p.m., July 19, at the Riverside Hotel in Garden City. This is our big fundraiser of the year, and we need all the help we can get if we are to continue the fight.
If you can’t make it, please consider a donation instead, or buy some tickets for a friend.
Today, the Supreme Court said it is OK to make Americans buy health insurance. Tomorrow, no one knows or can imagine what mandate the government will enforce upon us next. If we fail to defend freedom, here and now, with every bit of vigor and determination as before the ruling, our nation and the promise of freedom for generations to come, dies. Please don’t despair. Keep up the fight.
Yours for freedom,
