Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a radical, far-left ideology. It is a form of cultural Marxism devoted to destroying America’s traditional culture, values, and institutions. It includes, but is not limited to, the divisive concepts of gender ideology, critical race theory, and settler colonialism.
Currently, Boise State, the University of Idaho, and Idaho State University have mandatory DEI related courses in their general education requirements. These include courses on “Racism and Antiracism” and “Introduction to Gender and Sexuality Studies.” Additionally, some DEI offices have shuttered and reorganized under different names, such as BSU’s “Student Connections and Support Center,” which continues to offer divisive, leftist propaganda.
DEI is indoctrinating the next generation of America and has replaced meritocracy and excellence with woke, intersectional identity politics. It has no place in our colleges and universities. Every office, position, and mandatory course requirement even slightly related to DEI ought to be eliminated without exception.
