According to an Associated Press story in the Idaho Statesman, originally published in the Twin Falls Times-News, a Declo fourth-grade teacher faces possible disciplinary action from her district and the state.
At issue is her allowing students to mark the faces with a marker of classmates who fell short in meeting reading goals.
The story says the teacher will face scrutiny from the Idaho State Department of Education's Professional Standards Commission, which certifies teachers. The commission has the authority to suspend or revoke teacher licenses.
