Boise State University Student Body President Trevor Grigg said Thursday he will announce his campaign bid for the Idaho House of Representatives with an address scheduled for noon Friday on the Capitol steps.
If elected, Grigg, 26, would become the youngest member of the Idaho House. He is currently seeking an undergraduate degree in entrepreneurial management with a minor in political science. He is scheduled to graduate in spring of 2011. Grigg is serving his second of two terms as the student body president at BSU. Before his initial election to that office, he served as president of the College Republicans at the university.
Grigg will likely challenge Democrat Phylis King, who represents District 18, which contains a section of south Boise. King was elected to the Idaho House in 2006 and is serving her second term.
Grigg will run as a Republican. You can visit his campaign website here.
