The president of Chick-fil-A set off a firestorm of sorts with his recent comment that his company supports the traditional marriage of a man and a woman. There were threats to boycott the national chain.
Then in stepped TV and radio host Mike Huckabee and former presidential candidate Rick Santorum promoting Wednesday as a day of support for the company, resulting in record sales across the nation. The Boise store manager says his sales were seven times higher than usual and he kept it open two more hours to accommodate the crowd, according to a story in the Idaho Statesman.
