The Boise-based Idaho Freedom Foundation has announced changes to its board of directors. The actions were taken Saturday, July 27, the day following the organization’s fourth annual Freedom Celebration that drew a crowd of 500. Featured speakers at the Celebration were Michelle Malkin, Fox News contributor, and Dr. Edmund Schweitzer.
Bob Rathbone is the new chairman of the board, replacing Heather Lauer, who is now the secretary for the group. A new board member, Brent Regan, is vice chairman.
Longtime board member Dan Symms is now treasurer.
The board voted to add a fifth member, Loel Fenwick.
Additionally, executive director Wayne Hoffman’s title was changed to president.
The Idaho Freedom Foundation, established in early 2009, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) think tank dedicated to finding free market solutions to the challenges facing state and local government. IFF advocates for private property rights, individual responsibility and transparent, limited government. Its motto is, “Restoring Liberty, Improving Lives.”
