According to the Idaho Statesman, debate will continue over whether the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) should have the right to tell ATV hunters where they can and can't hunt. The department says the restrictions are necessary and prevent hunters from overharvesting game.
The bill the committee is considering would strip IDFG's authority to dictate where ATV hunters can and can't go. Advocates of the bill say there is no science to back up the department's claims about overharvesting.
