With a vote of 5-4 Wednesday, the Senate Resources Committee passed a bill that would take away some of the Idaho Fish and Game Department's (IFG) authority to regulate hunters and where they can or can't ride their ATVs while hunting, according to the Idaho Statesman.
Currently, IFG limits ATV hunters from around a third of the off-road trails around the state while hunting.
IFG has said if the bill is signed into law, the department could have shorter hunting seasons, or, essentially, a controlled hunt.
