Daniel Hannan is a journalist and author who is a member of the European Parliament. A critic of the European Union (EU), Hannan says the the EU has made Europe poorer and less free. Hannan also argues that free market opportunities have made the United States a beacon for prosperity, and urges politicians here to avoid the mistakes that are ruining the economy of Europe.
