The time for disobedience is now.
Thousands of Idahoans are without work and small businesses are on the verge of collapse due to the government’s stay-home order.
On Friday, April 17, the Idaho Freedom Foundation, the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance, and Health Freedom Idaho will hold a demonstration to protest the extension of Idaho’s stay home order.
The demonstration will begin at the Idaho Capitol at 2 pm MDT. The Capitol sits at 700 W. Jefferson in Boise. Four Idahoans, including a state lawmaker, will address the crowd. After speeches, the assembled crowd will march down Capitol Boulevard toward Myrtle Street. Sign and flag-waving will take place on the sidewalk that lines Myrtle.
Attendees are encouraged to follow social distancing procedures.
This protest will not feature a gridlock demonstration as was held in Michigan earlier this week.
Protesters are free to carry firearms if they so please.
Street parking is free all day tomorrow. The city is not enforcing parking ordinances and will not write tickets.
Not in Boise? That's OK! Idahoans are holding protests in Lewiston (click here), Sandpoint (Click here), and other places.
