Lena Whitmore Elementary School in Moscow, Idaho, has reversed its decision to bar a student from signing the song "We Fall Down." According to FoxNews.com, the student auditioned for the school's talent show, where she received praise from teachers. Shortly after that, her mother received a call from the school principal. The principal told the the mother that her daughter would not be allowed to perform to the song because it is too religious.
Matt Sharp, an attorney for the Alliance Defense Fund, was prepared to sue the school over not allowing the student to perform.
The decision to overturn the ban came, according to the district's superintendent, because the principal misinterpreted the district's policies. He said he didn't even know there was a problem until the Alliance Defense Fund sent him a letter.
