A bill limiting the Idaho Department of Fish and Game's (IDFG) control over where ATV-riding hunters are allowed to ride advanced to the House floor Monday, according to the Idaho Statesman.
The bill would take away some of the department's power regulating where hunters who ride ATVs can ride and hunt. Opponents of the bill say overharvesting of deer and elk could result, while those in favor of the bill say the department has no right to tell hunters where they can drive.
IDFG opposes the bill.
