The Idaho Supreme Court has ruled that the plan for redistricting is unconstitutional. The high court ruled 4-1 against the current plan, citing the Idaho Constitution, Article III, Section 5.

The court ruled that the plan divided counties, which should be avoided whenever possible. Because of the ruling, the commission for reapportionment was order to reconvene and come up with a revised proposal.
