Idaho House of Representative assistant majority leader Scott Bedke is in the process of  bringing a bill, possibly as soon as Wednesday, that would forbid camping on the Capitol Mall. According to Bedke, the bill is modeled after a similar measure from the city of Boise that outlaws camping on city property.

Bedke believes there are proper places to camp, and taxpayer land is not a place for a permanent camp.
