Bill Description: This bill would insulate all individuals who allow firearms on their property from lawsuits.

Examples include restrictions on speech, public assembly, the press, privacy, private property, or firearms. Conversely, does it restore or uphold the protections guaranteed in US Constitution or the Idaho Constitution? 


This bill would reinforce the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution’s right to bear arms, prohibiting lawsuits against property owners who allow firearms on their property. A provision in Idaho Code 5-341 already protects employers who allow their employees to carry, store, or possess firearms. Through this bill, a person storing firearms in their home would not risk a lawsuit solely for that reason. Government properties are included in this bill. If an armed individual were to do damage in a public area, the government would not be liable for the presence of the firearm.

This bill would, in effect, prevent an infringement on the Second Amendment. (+1)
